Alumni Center
The UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Association strategically allocates its resources to strengthen the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends, we invest in key areas that enhance the academic and community experience for current and future students. Funds are directed towards scholarships, facility improvements, student programs, and community engagement initiatives, ensuring that every dollar contributes to the enduring legacy of Dear Mother.
Backstory
The Alumni Center will replace the current structure, which is approaching 100 years old, is extremely expensive to heat and cool, and is basically a non-functioning structure. Additionally, the current building is not in harmony with the progressive upgrades made elsewhere throughout the campus.
The new Alumni Center will better serve the students, Alumni and the University. The new multi-functional building will house the National Alumni Association staff and offer spaces to host banquets, conferences and receptions for the University and the Pine Bluff community.
The Goal
The National Alumni Association will build a new Alumni Center in lieu of renovating the Alumni House, based on feedback from the Alumni.
The National Alumni Association will proceed with building a new structure at the end of the campaign which is set for December 2025. The new building, with furniture, fixtures, and equipment will cost approximately $2.8 million.
This multi-purpose structure will serve as a meeting facility, a gathering place for Alumni events, i.e. Homecoming, Founders Day, and other major events. It will also be an income producing facility to be rented to campus and community organizations for various events. Income generated from renting the facility will cover operational expenses of the National Alumni Association and provide funding for student scholarships for years to come.
Our Path to Success
UAPB has more than 20,000 graduates and friends across the US and abroad committed to advancing the University. If we can leverage contributions from 10% of this audience, our fundraising goals can be achieved.
