President's Message

Tammie Hall ’93

I am honored to serve as the president of the UAPB/AM&N Alumni Association. In 2013, UAPB embarked on a new era when Dr. Laurence B. Alexander began his tenure as chancellor. We look forward to working with Chancellor Alexander as he builds on the strong foundation laid by former chancellors.

I do believe that we could not have achieved our many successes without the support of alumni. Whether it is volunteering our time, attending sporting events, hiring UAPB graduates, or making a donation, alumni have been invaluable contributors to UAPB’s growth in size and stature. UAPB/AM&N has over 17,000 alumni across the country. We need all of you working for the betterment of the university.

To continue to build our partnership with our Alma mater, the Alumni Association is committed to engaging more alumni with particular emphasis on the young alumni. We ask that you join us in this effort. If you know fellow alumni who have not heard from us recently, encourage them to visit our website at uapbalumni.org or contact the National Alumni Office to update their contact information. We also ask that you make a habit of visiting the site, so you can learn about upcoming events that might interest you.

In closing, I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can over the next two years. More important, I look forward to joining efforts with you to make UAPB a stronger university.

With Golden Lion Pride,

Tammie Hall ’93
President,
UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Association

Our Mission

The National Alumni Association will identify and organize graduates and friends of the University for purposes of:

  • Preserving its Culture and Heritage;
  • Acting as a Liaison between the University and it various publics;
  • Forming networks for continuing Advocacy and Communications; and
  • Providing direct supplementary support for students, staff and programs.

Message to Membership

Dear Fellow Alumni:

The UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Association and the University need your support!

Active membership in the UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Association allows a small contribution to go a long way and enables you to contribute to practically every part of the University. It is the only organization able to assist such a large number of campus organizations and departments all while keeping alumni and friends connected to UAPB.

Regular membership dues are $50.00 and account for a rather small annual contribution to the university, but there’s a lot of value in pooling annual membership dues among thousands of supporters. Membership dues are responsible for and assist with:

  • The maintenance, operation and technology upgrades at the National Alumni House
  • Funding of scholarships

Lifetime membership dues goes into an investment account and each year the interest is used for the maintenance and operation of the National Alumni Office.

There are three (3) three levels of Life Membership:

  • Silver - $300.00
  • Gold - $500.00
  • Platinum - $750.00

Installments can be paid within three (3) consecutive years. You may upgrade by paying the difference between the original costs and the current price for the desired level.

As Alumni, we have benefited from attending UAPB/AM&N.

We were part of the past and now it is time for all Alumni to be part of the future!

Please, become an active member of the Alumni Association as an annual member or a lifetime member and make a difference.

In The Spirit of Working Together,

Staphea S. Campbell
